Other ways to find your ZIP code
- Check a piece of mail, a utility bill or your driver’s license: the ZIP code is the 5-digit number after the state.
- Search your city on this site to see every ZIP code it uses, with a map link for each one.
- For the full ZIP+4, use the official USPS ZIP Code lookup by address.
Questions
- How does this find my ZIP code?
- Your browser shares your approximate location (only if you allow it), and the page picks the standard ZIP code whose center is closest. Your location stays in your browser; we don’t store or send it anywhere.
- Why might the answer be wrong?
- ZIP codes are delivery routes, not neat shapes, so near a boundary the closest ZIP code center isn’t always your ZIP code. Desktop computers without GPS can also report a location that is miles off. Check the result against a letter or package you’ve received at your address.
- What is the most reliable way to find my ZIP code?
- Look at the address on a recent bill, bank statement or package. USPS also has an official ZIP Code lookup by address at tools.usps.com.
- What is my ZIP+4 code?
- ZIP+4 needs your full street address, so it can’t be found from location alone. USPS’s address lookup shows the full ZIP+4.
